The second of Friday's doubleheader in Billings -- the opener is CMR at Senior -- will feature undefeated Capital. The Bruins, one of the favorites in the Class AA coming into the season, are coming off of a 44-7 win over Butte, having already defeated Great Falls and Kalispell Flathead.
“We’re looking forward to going down and playing Skyview,” Capital coach Kyle Mihelish said. “I don’t think they’re an 0-3 football team. They’ve done a pretty good job of moving the ball, their O- and D-line are big and physical … every time I watch them they seem to be getting better and better.
“I think the last time we played them was four years ago. So that makes me a little nervous as a football coach that we haven’t gone against a Wing-T football team in four years. You can simulate and simulate and simulate that in practice, but it it’s tough and it just isn’t the same.”
Skyview is still looking for its first win of the season after losses to Missoula Sentinel, Great Falls, and crosstown rival Senior. The Falcons have not won a game on the field since Sept. 11, 2015.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
